From the Setup Menu, choosing Equity and Index Options... gives you the
following window:
- Underlying Symbol - The Equity or Index symbol underlying the desired option must be defined in Investor/RT in order for the system to generate the corresponding option.
- Option Prefix - Type in the three letter acronym which defines the option symbol. If Investor/RT knows the prefix, it will supply it automatically.
- Cycle - Check the circle next to the month which begins the yearly trading cycle in the option. IF Investor/RT knows the cycle, it will supply it automatically.
- Current Price - Gives the last trade in the option after the necessary information has been entered.
- Add Symbols to the Current Quote Page - Check this box if you wish the symbols defined in the equity options window to be added to the open quote page.
- Type - Click the radio button next to the appropriate contract type.
- Months - Choose the trading months in the option that you wish to display on the quote page. These are chosen automatically if cycle is known.
- Strike Price - Add the strike prices that you wish to add to the quote page. If there is more than one, separate each strike price by a comma. NOTE: Strike prices must be multiples of 5. If you to wish track options with odd strike prices 7 1/2, 22 1/2, etc. then you must create the ticker symbols manually using
Setup:Instruments.
- Add Symbols - After all of the appropriate information has been entered, click here to generate the options
