4:35 pm:<subq> have to prep to redo code on site

4:37 pm:*** Rick has joined us
4:37 pm:<LS_Bill> unique "Submitter" code
4:38 pm:<subq> yep just wondering when beta 2 was going to live code
4:38 pm:<subq> actually i should install beta first, been crazy busy
4:39 pm:<LS_Bill> still in beta, will be for awhile longer
4:39 pm:<Daniel> Hi all....
4:40 pm:<Daniel> Bill and Chad....any update on the bugs I reported?
4:41 pm:<Daniel> TPO charts not being saved in a layout and tick increment problems with the 99.999999 (6 digit contracts).
4:41 pm:<Daniel> oh also...the POC not showing up in some TPO charts that use 99.99
4:46 pm:*** Daniel has left
4:46 pm:*** Daniel has joined us
4:47 pm:<LS_Bill> I haven't had a chance to look at those Daniel.
4:47 pm:<Daniel> ok thnx
4:47 pm:<LS_Bill> maybe chad can address the the POC 99.99 issue
4:47 pm:<Daniel> have you spoken to Ray at NT5 at all?
4:48 pm:<Daniel> *NinjaTrader I should say.
4:51 pm:<LS_Bill> no contact with NT lately
4:51 pm:<Daniel> ok
4:51 pm:<LS_Bill> NT 6 is supposed to be coming out about now right?
4:52 pm:<Daniel> yeah thats what I heard and it's a shame he's not taking the DLL any further for now.
4:52 pm:<Daniel> leaves me no choice but to import the puf file to get a finished product with IRT < >NT5/6

5:03 pm:<Rick> Hi guys ;-) Got time for a couple of questions?
5:03 pm:<Daniel> doesn't appear so!
5:03 pm:<Daniel> lol
5:03 pm:<LS_Bill> sure
5:03 pm:<LS_Bill> I guess I wasn't fast enough ;-)
5:03 pm:<LS_Bill> I'm always multi-tasking
5:04 pm:<Rick> Thanks... I Have a chart that seems to have a couple of candles on top of each other... Is that an issue with bad data?
5:05 pm:<LS_Bill> Alt+U, click "verify historical data"
5:05 pm:<LS_Bill> see if that corrects it
5:05 pm:<Rick> Ok I'll try that... Thanks!
5:06 pm:<LS_Bill> could be some out of session data that came in due to DST time change
5:06 pm:<Rick> Would that be verify/repair hist data?
5:09 pm:<LS_Bill> yes
5:09 pm:<Daniel> sometimes or most times I should say it's better to just delete the whole day or a day before and after making it 3 days of data wiped clean and download fresh error free data.
5:09 pm:<Daniel> it's usually a holiday data/session issue.
5:10 pm:<Rick> This is day data that goes back 2 years...
5:10 pm:<Daniel> lol
5:10 pm:<Daniel> well if the vendor you're suing has it that far back you're in luck
5:11 pm:<Daniel> *using*
5:11 pm:<Rick> It just makes the chart look goofy with one candle sitting atop another;-0
5:12 pm:<Daniel> they may not have 1 minute data but try getting 30 or 60 min data and that should yeild 1 minute data built by IRT internally
5:12 pm:<Daniel> goofy I bet...too bad it's not profit on top of profit ;-)
5:13 pm:<Rick> What is a good way to overlay say 5 different stocks as line charts in a single pane?
5:14 pm:<Daniel> single pane can do but be aware that you will have to select "use Multiple Scales as Required"
5:14 pm:<Daniel> and if the stocks differ greatly in price you may not end up with a desired effect.
5:15 pm:<LS_Bill> drag and drop the five instruments from a quotepage into the pane
5:15 pm:<Daniel> may be better off putting them in different panes or making a custom instrument/index of the 5 of them.
5:16 pm:<Rick> Ah... I remember seeing that... Thanks Daniel... Drag and drop... Hand slaps forehead;-)
5:16 pm:<Rick> Thanks Bill!!!
5:17 pm:<Rick> Wow, found a corrected a s_it load of errors Bill 8-0
5:18 pm:<LS_Bill> that's not unusual, there is usually some out of session data removed if you do alot of downloading
5:19 pm:<Daniel> yes i have to do a verify historical to clean it up every morning after downloading from DTNMA...it's a standard practice required to clen up the out of session ticks.
5:20 pm:<Rick> Oh great, that looks much better... Thanks Bill... I'll put this cleaning on my list of thing to do...
5:20 pm:<LS_Bill> you can set up a schedule to run this every day at a certain time
5:20 pm:<Daniel> on that note..I'm cleaning outta here...talknext week...ciao
5:20 pm:<LS_Bill> nite daniel
5:21 pm:<Daniel> nite
5:21 pm:*** Daniel has left
5:22 pm:<Rick> That should do it for me too;-) Thanks again!!!
5:23 pm:<Rick> Oh, just one more...
5:23 pm:<Rick> I'm thinking of getting a new powerbook with a core duo... Any issues?
5:24 pm:*** Arno has left
5:24 pm:<Rick> Any issues running IRT that is ;-)
5:26 pm:<Rick> Core duo being an intel cpu with two processing elements...
5:26 pm:<LS_Bill> we have only a handful of Intel mac users
5:26 pm:<LS_Bill> but so far I know of no open issues
5:27 pm:<LS_Bill> I've been running a Mac Mini core duo
5:27 pm:<LS_Bill> will be getting a Mac Pro with dual core duos soon
5:28 pm:<Rick> Ok, great, thats what I was wondering...
5:28 pm:<LS_Bill> I have an IB user running OS X who has been having some IB connection issues
5:29 pm:<LS_Bill> but I believe he found there was a conflicting program that was causing the problems, not IB or I/RT related
5:29 pm:<Rick> Yea, I have a few connection hickups too... No problem...
5:31 pm:<Rick> I wonder what TWS looks like perfornmance wise...
5:32 pm:<Rick> I just can't imagine java doing that great;-0
5:35 pm:<Rick> Oh well, its time to run... Thanks again for all your help Bill;-)
5:35 pm:<Rick> Good Bye...

5:38 pm:<Mike> hi all
5:39 pm:<Mike> Bill I have question
5:39 pm:<LS_Bill> hi
5:40 pm:<Mike> ok, it TSYS sends a AT managed limit order
5:40 pm:<Mike> then can TSYS do a check after 2 minutes and if no fill cancel that order? and if so how?
5:42 pm:<LS_Bill> there is no way the specify a "timing" thing like this built-in, but you have been able to do it using V# variables and a custom column to monitor the progress of the trade
5:43 pm:<Mike> no I need it all automated
5:43 pm:<LS_Bill> when you place the order, you can set a V# to indicate the order is placed
5:43 pm:<Mike> fine I can do time in RTL
5:43 pm:<LS_Bill> yes
5:43 pm:<Mike> I thought when IRT sends order to AT IRT knows how to cancel it?
5:43 pm:<LS_Bill> have the instrument in a quotepage with a custom column involking an RTL object
5:44 pm:<Mike> Jerry is unresponsive and seems hsi product is at dead end I hate to say sadly
5:44 pm:<LS_Bill> the RTL object looks to see if the order has been placed and if so, the hard part will be to find out how long the order has been pending
5:44 pm:<Mike> I need it all in TSYS Bill that is hwo all doen automatically
5:44 pm:<LS_Bill> not RTL token for that
5:44 pm:<LS_Bill> what is the periodicity of the TSYS
5:45 pm:<Mike> I need unattended auto trading is plan
5:45 pm:<Mike> it is on a range based chart
5:45 pm:<LS_Bill> one minute bars?
5:45 pm:<Mike> range say .5 range bars
5:45 pm:<Mike> bars happen a couple a minute so no problem there
5:46 pm:<LS_Bill> at present there is no "date arithmetic" capability in RTL
5:46 pm:<Mike> Question is does IRT in token track and ability to cancel a s itting limit order in autoTrader?
5:46 pm:<LS_Bill> would be a nice feature
5:46 pm:<LS_Bill> so you could calculate how many seconds since the order was place
5:46 pm:<LS_Bill> and trigger a cancel order if more than 120 seconds or whatever
5:46 pm:<Mike> right that be good I think I can use BTIME
5:47 pm:<Mike> huge problem open limit orders un filled
5:47 pm:<Mike> and or IRT in its charts and tsys sees it always fills
5:48 pm:<Mike> so I need to add whole level of checking and ability to cancel sitting in AT limit orders
5:48 pm:<Mike> or have Jerry fix Autotrader
5:48 pm:<Mike> or send all to TWS directly someday?
5:50 pm:<Mike> ok so what is commands i c an stuyd try to track query and cancel a order sitting in AT?
5:50 pm:<Mike> IRT TSYS sent order of course
5:52 pm:<Mike> Best is to have Jerry fix AT to time out IRT /http sent orders
5:52 pm:<LS_Bill> u would have a rule/signal that tests if the order has been submitted but not yet filed
5:52 pm:<Mike> he said he would or did even
5:52 pm:<Mike> yes
5:53 pm:<LS_Bill> problem is, I dont know if TSYS will be called repeatedly for rangebar
5:53 pm:<LS_Bill> it won't be called again until range is satisfied
5:53 pm:<Mike> right
5:53 pm:<Mike> that is fine
5:53 pm:<Mike> new bar every minute or so I can live with that
5:54 pm:<Mike> tsys called at end or start of each new bar
5:54 pm:<LS_Bill> so if you have a qp open with an RTL formula operating on the symbol continuously
5:54 pm:<Mike> i jsut need commands to check if filled then if nto cancel it
5:54 pm:<Mike> perfer TSYS on a chart
5:54 pm:<Mike> as that does it all now
5:58 pm:<LS_Bill> TSYS is only called on to operate based on the periodicity on the chart
5:58 pm:<LS_Bill> for range bar, this gives you no time interval to do time based tests after the buy signal issues a trade
5:58 pm:<Mike> right that is all ok Bill
5:59 pm:<Mike> fine test each new bar then I can do a time of bar test to see if time from order places is > 120 seconds
5:59 pm:<Mike> with btime
6 pm:<Mike> you recall command to test order is open unfilled? then cancel it? I lvoe to try tomorrow
6 pm:<Mike> Can you try contact with Jerry again please.
6:05 pm:<Mike> thinking?
6:05 pm:<LS_Bill> on the phone, sorry
6:06 pm:<Mike> also on share chart title bar you could take corners an d for top left corner, subtract - x pixels and - y pixels to grab wiundow title area and do same for all 4 corners to grab window border :)
6:06 pm:<Mike> ok no rush I wait Bill
6:06 pm:<Mike> Chad here?
6:06 pm:<Mike> when is shhow in Chicago? i migh tbe able to drive visit show
6:06 pm:<LS_Bill> I don't know the exact date, end of this month. Google FIA Chicago mike
6:07 pm:<Mike> ok iwill
6:08 pm:<Mike> let me knwo on the order checking and canceling
6:17 pm:<Mike> let me know when you get back
6:25 pm:<Mike> still on phone?
6:32 pm:<LS_Bill> yes, some family matters to attend to. I have to sign off, it's late.
