Download the mIRC32 installer (mirc551t.exe) from the mIC web site

Double click on the downloaded file (mirc551t.exe) to install the mIRC32 Chat Client.

Start the mIRC Client from Start - Programs - mIRC - mIRC32

Close the "About mIRC" box that pops up.

Now, in the mIRC Options window that pops up, enter your "Full Name", "Email Address", and a "Nickname" by which you would like to be identified in the chat room.  You may also enter an Alternative Nickname in case someone has already chosen your Nickname  The window looks like this:

Now Click on the "Add" button at the top of the window to Add the Linn Software Chat Server to your Server List.

Now you should see the "mIRC Add Server" window, as seen below.  Enter the server information just as you see it, and then click "Add".

Now your "Linn Software Chat" should be chosen as your server in the drop down list box.  Simply click on "Connect to IRC Server".   If you have problems connecting, and you are connection through a Local Area Network, please consult your Network Administrator.

If you connect to the IRC Server successfully, a window should pop up entitled mIRC Channels Folder.  Type in the channel "#LinnSoft", just like you see below, and hit "Enter".

You should now enter the Linn Software Chat Room.  You will receive a welcome message.  You can now type your message into the bottom line of the window, and press 'Enter' to send the message to the chat room.
