Answers to Common Questions

Question

How do I add a technical indicator to a chart?

Answer

There are a few ways to accomplish this task.  The top right button on the chart toolbar will bring up the "Add Indicator" (seen below).

This window can also be invoked directly from the keyboard with the "Insert" key ("Shift-Ins" on Mac).

And last, this window can be invoked by right-clicking (control-click on Mac) on any blank/white space in the chart, and choosing "Add/Edit/Delete : Add Technical Indicator" from the popup menu.  All the drawing style indicators (trendlines, reference lines, etc) can be instantiated by right-clicking in the chart and choosing "Draw" from the popup menu.
