Question |
I use myTrack data feed. I would like to practice buying
currencies (EUR/USD). Can I do it with IRT; and do you know what the
mytrack symbol would be? |

Answer |
Use your myTrack menu and choose Chat to ask for help on
data feed content issues. We maintain a web page of commonly used
indexes and futures contracts for each of the data services supported by
Investor/RT. Bookmark this page:
http://www.linnsoft.com/symbols/
and go there as a starting point when you have a ticker symbol question
for futures and indexes. If you don't find what you are after there, the
myTrack chat is your best bet. We deal with so many data vendors we
cannot possibly provide email support on ticker symbol questions. The
myTrack personnel in chat room are very helpful and almost always can
give you an instant answer on data content related issues.
Regarding the "practice" part of your question, you can setup a practice
portfolio and create trading orders that buy and sell to this portfolio.
The trading orders can be executed by chart buttons you place in your
chart(s), or by signal actions that trigger automatically when some
trading signal you have setup occurs in real-time. To learn more about
using Trading Orders and Signal Actions in Investor/RT, go to Setup:
Technical Indicators, pick Trading Order as the indicator and then press
F1, or click the help button on the main toolbar. To learn more about
creating buttons that execute trading orders, pick the Button indicator
and press F1. |
