Investor/RT Answer
Answers to Common Questions

Question

I use my Windows machine at my office and a laptop at home and on trips. Will I be able to use Investor/RT on either machine now? What if I want to run Investor/RT on two machines in my office for my own personal use?

Answer

When the new license system is operational, you will be able to activate the license on your office machine, release the license whenever you wish, and activate the same license code on your laptop. The license can be activated on one machine at a time and must be released before you can move it to another machine. The license supports Windows or Macintosh OS X platforms and works with any supported data source you have available to you. In the event that you wish to use two machines simultaneously, you would need an additional license ($20), but for serial usage as described above there is no additional fee. We plan to implement a “release license upon quit” feature in Investor/RT so that users who routinely move their licenses from one machine to another can free the license for use on a different machine simply by quitting the Investor/RT application. Users who have been paying an additional monthly fee to license both the Windows and Macintosh versions of Investor/RT will now be able to move their license freely between Windows and Mac without a second license code. Additional license codes are needed only for simultaneous usage on two or more machines.
