Answers to Common Questions

Question

How do I setup a schedule action that will automatically save the quotepage that results from a "scan" schedule action?

Answer

A common example of when this process might be needed would be when a scan automatically sorts it's results (based on the scan setup), and then the user wants to run a subsequent scan on that quotepage which uses tokens (such as SEQ) which rely on the order of the symbols to be saved.

Go to "Setup: Prefs: Keyboard Shortcuts" and setup a keyboard shortcut to "Save: Object" (assign it to Shift:Ctrl:F5 or whatever). Now, create a Schedule Action with the action "Keyboard Shortcut" and save the shortcut you just created from the list below. Place this action just below your initial sorting Scan action (and before the subsequent scan that relies on the order of symbols).
