Question

How do I add or remove whitespace (lookahead period) from the right side of my chart, between the most current bar, and the vertical scale?

Answer

Each chart has a setting called a "lookahead period" which can be seen at the bottom of the View Period tab of the chart preferences window.  This number represents how many "bars of whitespace" will be present between the right-most/current bar, and the vertical scale at the right.  For instance, if the lookahead period is set to 10, and the "Pixels/Bars" (width of each bar) is set to 8, then 80 pixels of whitespace will exist.

The easiest way to adjust the lookahead period is to shift-drag the horizontal scale at the bottom of the chart.  Just hold down the shift key while dragging the scale left or right.  As you drag it left, the lookahead period will be increased.  As you drag it left, the lookahead period will be decreased, down to a 0.
