| At the present time a registration code is required to
use the IB Version of Investor/RT, even when TWS is running with
username "edemo". Investor/RT requires a login every few days to your
"real" IB account using TWS to validate this registration code. Access
to the "edemo" TWS account is then available to registered users. You
must have an IB account for this to be possible.
IRT users interested in evaluating the IB Version of IRT, either with
edemo or with a real IB account can acquire a 30 day evaluation license
for $20. Add $12 if you wish to use DTN Market Access historical
services from the IB version. If you want to use IRT for IB and IRT for
some other data service at the same time on an ongoing basis, the
additional monthly fee is $20 for the second license, regardless of
configuration.
An AutoTrader license is not required to run with the TWS edemo
account. To activate AutoTrader with a real IB account, a license is
required. This can be obtained from us for $8 for a month, or from the
author of this software directly. See www.autotradersoftware.com for
details. AutoTrader and NinjaTrader are both supported via the http
interface inherent in the IRT "Signal Action" setup. In 8.0 the
AutoTrader access has been made far simpler by supporting this trading
interface directly via Trading Order setups. The 8.0 implementation also
integrate trading status feedback from AutoTrader so that automated
trading systems can monitor position size, fill prices, stops, and
targets.
AutoTrader supports single symbol trade management. You initiate the
position from an IRT chart button or some signal action or trading order
firing. AutoTrader then manages stops and targets for you. If you wish
to trade more than one symbol at a time this automation is not presently
available in AutoTrader. You can use "Pass Thru" trading orders to
initiate trades, exit trades, set stops and targets all from within IRT
charts. The integration with IRT charting is very powerful. Read the
