Answers to Common Questions

Question

Is there a list on the website with IB's electronic futures symbols, so we can verify the difference between DTNiq's symbols and IB's?... if yes were is located?

Answer

The setups for most commonly traded futures are all handled automatically by IRT. IRT "knows" the DTN alias of each "type" of future. Use any text editor to view the file named "futures.txt" in the admin folder to see the list of futures IRT knows about. See www.linnsoft.com/symbols - this web page should be "in sync" with the futures.txt file and will be updated as we learn of new futures types. If you come across any future type that does not setup properly automatically, just let us know.
