Investor/RT Scans Interface Below is the scan interface as seen in Investor/RT: |
|
The Investor/RT scan function
chooses from a list of building blocks which include market statistics (close, high, low,
volume, etc.) as well as predefined technical indicator studies (moving average, RSI,
stochastics, etc.) to build a list of market criteria. It is the user's option to define
all characteristics manually or to use the predefined indicators as building blocks. ![]() |
Operators (plus, minus, greater than, less than, and, or, etc.) are then used to combine the market criteria in order to form conditions which the scan function will look for in each security. The market criteria may be contained in an arithmetic expression which uses number constants or simply a logical expression to test for a true or false result on each criterion. |
![]() The new custom scan can then be run against a quote page to identify which securities in that quote page match the conditions described. The securities which match the conditions will be listed in a new untitled quote page which includes the security smbol and all associated values calculated for the scan. This quote page can also be given a name and saved for future reference or scanning. For more detailed information on Scans, click here. |
