Joining the Linn Software Investor/RT Yahoo! Group

For registered Investor/RT users only....

The Linn Software Investor/RT Developer's Forum (Yahoo! Group) is an email-based and web-based discussion group or forum.  This forum is for registered user's of Investor/RT only.   The forum should be used to for information related to the Investor/RT Software Developer's Kit (SDK).   The Investor/RT SDK is a toolkit for developing plug-in technical indicators and trading signals for use in Investor/RT. Plug-ins are written in either the C or C++ programming language.   On the Windows platform, plug-ins are implemented as "Dynamic Link Libraries" (DLL's). On the Macintosh platform, plug-ins are developed as "Shared Libraries" (shlb files).

Instruction on joining the forum are provided below.  Your membership into the group will be approved provided you are a registered Investor/RT user and have completed the Non-Disclosure Agreement and faxed back to Linn Software (fax: 770.922.9071).

In addition to providing an email-based mailing list, Yahoo! Groups provides the following features:

  • A web-based ability to view all messages historically, either by date, or by thread. This way, the insightful postings to the list will be maintained and accessible in the future.
  • A web-based file-sharing capability, useful for sharing scans, sounds files, etc.
  • A calendar, which allows users to post events (one time or repeating) and have email notifications automatically sent out to the eGroup list.
  • A database, in which tables have been created to keep up with information such as enhancement request and bug reports.  Giving the user the ability to post enhancements, or bugs and monitor the status.
  • Three different methods for receiving messages.  You can choose to receive each individual message, receive periodic digests, or receive no emails and view the messages from the web-based interface at your leisure.
