Investor/RT - Getting Started
QuotePages

QuotePages are an integral aspect of Investor/RT.  QuotePages are essentially the Investor/RT equivalent of dynamic spreadsheets.  Each row of the quotepage contains an instrument (stock, future, index, etc.) and each column of the quotepage contains specific data regarding the instruments (Change, Last, Volume, etc.).  A typical quotepage can be seen below.

Investor/RT QuotePage

The above quotepage displays a list of 10 stocks, displaying the following columns for each one:  Ticker, %Change, Change, Low, Last, High, and Volume.  Each quotepage can have up to 30 columns, chosen from a list over 100 available data items.

Let's walk through the basics of setting up a quotepage such as the one above.

First, click on the QP QuotePage Button (QuotePage) button in the Main Toolbar and choose "New QuotePage".  A new "Untitled" QuotePage should appear along with a helper window entitled "Add to QuotePage".  Let's close the "Add to QuotePage" window for now.  You should be looking at a blank spreadsheet with one blank row.  Let's first add 9 more rows by hitting the "Insert" key on the keyboard 9 times.  Now we have 10 rows in which to insert our symbols.  Let's now simply add our symbols by typing in the ticker into the "Ticker" column of the quotepage and then pressing "Enter".  Enter the 10 symbols seen above.

Once you have done this, and provided you have your data feed set up correctly and started, you should see data for these ten symbols.  If the market is open, you should see the information changing dynamically as new quotes arrive.  Now you should save your quotepage.  Click on the "Save QuotePage" button in the quotepage toolbar and give your new quotepage a name, such as "myQuotePage".  You will now be able to access this quotepage at any time in the future by choosing "QP" from the main toolbar, then "User QuotePage: myQuotePage".

Now, double-click on the ticker symbol MSFT in your QuotePage and let's move on to Charts.
