Getting Started with TransAct Futures

To use Investor/RT with a brokerage account with Transact Futures or Infinity Futures, choose Data > Configuration Data Source... menu item and set your market data source to Transact/Infinity. Specify Transact/Infinity as your brokerage destination to enable Investor/RT to issue trading orders to your brokerage account from the charts.

Once Investor/RT is configured to use Transact/Infinity, choose the Data > Setup Transact menu item to enter your brokerage account credentials. Enter your Transact or Infinity login id and password. It is not necessary to enter your account number; it will be filled in automatically when Investor/RT connects to the Transact/Infinity servers. If you are using a demo account be sure to specify the mode as Demo Mode at the top of the setup window. If you have a funded trading account, then you can choose between Live Mode and Simulated Live. Both live and sim live modes provide live streaming market data to Investor/RT for charting. In simulated live mode, any brokerage orders issued by Investor/RT are simulated trades.  This mode is recommended for testing trading order setups.

Transact/Infinity has two Communication Settings at the bottom of the setup dialog. Mode 1 is the default and recommended setting. Mode 2 is seldom needed, but may be a solution if you use an older network router and/or experience connectivity issues.
