Footprint® Package

Available as an à la carte add-on to the I/RT Core Platform, the Footprint® package includes the original VolumeScope® RTX, its latest iteration featuring multiple innovative enhancements – the Footprint® RTX indicator - as well as the Price Volume Patterns (PVP) RTX extension. All three extensions are also included in the Professional Trader package, which provides access to every feature available in Investor/RT.

Both Footprint® and VolumeScope® are powerful RTX extensions to Investor/RT featuring detailed analysis and display of market order flow. They put each bar in the chart under the microscope, revealing and displaying volume at price data with great flexibility.

Their structure is similar and consists of three primary components: Background, Text and Candle. For each component, they provide a variety of data and presentation options for customizing the display. Volume is separated into Ask-Traded Volume (Buying) and Bid-Traded Volume (Selling) at each price. Each extension builds upon this information with profiling, coloring and scaling options based upon relative volume, delta, imbalance and much more.

Price Volume Pattern (PVP) is a powerful order flow pattern matching facility that works hand-in-hand with the Footprint. It is designed to identify buy and sell volume-based patterns within a sequence of one or more prices within each bar. One-price, two-price and three-price patterns can be identified at the high of bar, low of bar, the highest or lowest occurrence within the bar, or all occurrences within each bar.
