Volume Filtering: Studying Behavior of Large vs Small Trades

Volume Filtering

This video introduces the ability to add a trade size volume filter to any instrument in any multi-pane chart. This feature enables users to easily do comparative analysis of the volume behavior of large traders versus small traders. This volume filtering can feed and add value to a number of indicators including Zig Zag. Zig Zag Oscillator, Profile Indicator, Volume Breakdown, Bar Statistics, Price Statistics, VWAP, Volume Price Statistics, TPO Indicator, Multiple Price Highlighter, Volume Candles, Trade Dots, Buy Sell Meter, and many more.

Price Volume Pattern - Filtering Patterns

This video explains how to filter the patterns shown to only bars which meet a given condition. In this simple example, we identified high volume prices with PVP but only showed those patterns on up bars that closed above the previous close.

Filtered Distribution: Cause and Effect

In this video, Homework #22 and Lesson #6 in "Extracting Market Behavior" series, we explore how to filter distributions to help identify sequential relationships in data. Specifically, we look at the day session change, and evaluate the effect of the overnight change on the day session change. For instance, if we had a very positive overnight session, what did the distribution of the day session change look like? What was the median, the mean, the mode, etc. If we had a very negative overnight session, how did that effect the day session change?
