This message is of concern for every Investor/RT subscriber running a 15.1.25 (or earlier) version and facing an "DTN server clock" error message (following the Nov 1st, 2026 clock change)
Dear Investor/RT subscriber,
Investor/RT includes a DST calendar to ensure synchronisation with the timestamps received from DTN servers. This calendar is stored in the holidays.txt file, located in the directory C:> ProgramFiles> Linnsoft> InvestorRT> Admin
The original file shipped with the I/RT 15.1.x installer needs to be updated, as it doesn't include DST dates beyond 2026. If you have not yet updated this file, you may encounter the following error message "CLOCK 1 HOUR OFFSET from DTN server / Check computer clock" or a similar warning indicating that you have just downloaded quotes with incorrect timestamps. There are 2 ways to update this file:
Method A - Replace the holidays.txt file
Exit Investor/RT, download here the newest holidays.txt file (which contains a DST calendar covering 2007 til 2028) and replace the existing file in the Linnsoft > InvestorRT> Admin directory (the original file is dated March 10, 2023)
Method B - Install Investor/RT 16.1c2
This version is available here and includes the latest holidays.txt file
Important: In both cases, when you restart I/RT, perform a new data download for any data downloaded since the DST change. This will ensure all timestamps are correctly aligned
Reminder: Our Daylight Saving Time support webpage is located here. This is mainly of concern for US based users trading EU markets or European traders dealing with US futures.
