FuturesTrader71 (also known as FT71) is a professional futures trader. FT71 started trading in 2001 as an equity scalper (a.k.a. SOES bandits) focused on high frequency scaling of NASDAQ stocks. After 2 years of scalping equities, FT71 moved to Chicago to become a proprietary futures trader at the CBOT. After 6 months of intense self-development, FT71 became very profitable. He has received the Eurex Licensed Trader designation and is a member of the CME group.

From 2003 to 2010, FT71 traded for his own prop account and focused on building a unique and very successful prop trading firm. FT71 hired, trained and developed futures prop traders for his firm.

In 2009, FT71 appeared on Twitter in an effort to give back to the community and extend his reach to other traders online and to expand his knowledge. He has since focused his efforts on creating a win-win situation for online traders. FT71 is a recognized pioneer in the use of volume profiling as a tool to read the market auction and in helping traders develop their skills.
