How do I Import or Export a Chart Definition?
In order to get the best experience using our site, we encourage you to spend a moment to edit your account profile on our website. Simply login and from your account page, click on the Edit tab. Among other things, you can edit all of your data, change your username or password, email and choose your timezone so that all times on the site are accurate based on your location.
Investor/RT can handle a variety of sound file types including .wav, .mp3, and .m4a. To review and preview the current sounds available, visit File > Preferences > Sounds. These sounds may be used in a variety of contexts within Investor/RT including Alarms, Signal Actions within indicators (Reference Lines, Signal Markers, TimeAndSales, etc) and even custom quotepage column rules.
Investor/RT is not fully compatible with the larger font size settings of the Windows operating system. Investor/RT works best with the "Normal" or "Default" text size settings in the display options of the Windows control panel.When larger font sizes are used, certain Investor/RT windows do not display properly or optimally. To adjust, use your Windows search feature to search for Display Settings as shown in this image:

If you are receiving an error: IRTACTIVE file in use, this is an indication that a Virus Protection software is periodically attempting to scan files that Investor/RT is trying to use. Investor/RT is constantly receiving data and therefore is constantly updating files in its working directory. If a Virus Protection software attempts to scan these files at the same time that Investor/RT is trying to write to them, you will receive this error. The solution is to exclude the following 2 directories from being scanned by your Virus Protection Software:
The RTX C++ SDK has been improved for Version 12.6. One of the improvements will require minor source code changes when you upgrade to Version 12.6 of Investor/RT and build with the latest irtsdk.h SDK. The CPEN data type in Version 12.5 RTX is a C structure containing a pen color, pen width and pen style setting. In 12.6, CPEN is now a C++ class with a proper constructor and methods for working with CPEN instances. Version 12.5 declarations of CPEN looked like this:
