CPU, GPU, Investor RT

Hi,
I'm posting this in general support as I imagine this question would be interesting to a wide cross section of the user base.

Sometime in the next year I am migrating to a new PC and I will probably buy the components at various stages during the next 12 months.

Investor RT will be one of the key programs used and for that reason I would love to know which computer components would drive it faster.

ie is the speed of processing inside Investor RT more related to the CPU, GPU, does it make great use of hyperthreading, multiple cores, is it improved by more or faster RAM, does the SSD speed help etc etc ?

There's now quite a bit of CPU, GPU, RAM and SSD choice out there with the re-emergence of AMD but some guidance from Linnsoft on what would really benefit intensive use of Investor RT would be very welcome.

Most important is a fast

Most important is a fast processor imo, while at the same time using other components that at least measure up to current standards for the OS and monitor setups.

Irt is single-threaded, as most trading/backtesting software is, so the higher cpu benchmark for single-threaded apps the better. Intel's fastest cpu's are faster than Amd's fastest right now, especially when overclocked, if you do that. Running IRT from an SSD is helpful. The software itself is not highly ram intensive. You'll want a video card that can easily support the needs of your monitor(s), as IRT is not highly gpu intensive.
