Fresh Start - Day Session

Hi, was wondering if there is a way for the "subsession" start to create a new bar? Or is this a new feature request?
thanks

Fresh Start - Day Session

So what you're looking for, is the ability to set a chart to the full session, and have a new bar begin on the 1st tick of the day session (as well as the 1st tick of the full session).  Is that correct?  This would eliminate the bar which spans the boundary of the overnight and day session and give a clear divison between the 2, and it would be helpful for indicators that can operate on day session only like Session Statistic and Mixed Periodicity Data.  This is not currently available, but I will look into it.  What periodicity are you specifically interested in?  Would you want this unconditionally on all charts (with a config variable) or only on certain charts?

Hi Chad, your description is

Hi Chad, your description is correct:
"the ability to set a chart to the full session, and have a new bar begin on the 1st tick of the day session (as well as the 1st tick of the full session"
As for periodicity, i would like to use this on pnf and renko and was thinking it would be applied per chart, similar to the existing fresh start check box seen on the periodicity UI and on some Indicator UI screens.

Same request

Hi, any update on this? Specifically I would like to use this on PnF with VolumeScope, the open gets jumbled with the last of the ON session and it is hard to execute right at the open.

DaySessionFreshStart Config

Set the configuration variable DaySessionFreshStart to true.  Then close and reopen your chart.  Let me know if that gives you what you're after.

This also works for Volbar, Tickbar, and Renko periodicity
