Is there a non-chart linked DOM?

Can I open a DOM without having a chart opened?

+1 This is something that I

+1 This is something that I would really like to see. Having a chart attached makes it really difficult to manage screen space when trading multiple assets, and minimising the chart completely causes the DOM to glitch. I can fit 8 TT DOMs on the same screen space where I can only fit 4 IRT DOMs.

MultiDOM setup (up to 5 DOM next to each other)

Hi,

it is correct that a ChartTradingDOM needs to be located in a "sidebar" attached to a chart.

However, a chart can manage multiple instruments (no limitation here) and up to 5 Sidebars, so one can manage up to 5 DOM (associated with different instruments), located next to each other, with indeed the constriant of having a small section on the left side needed for the associated chart...

The example below includes 4 customized DOM, using the orderflowmetrics indicator to show a cumulative volume profile, delta profile and also Inside print (for the last X seconds) colored upon the trade net delta

On top of each DOM, I have added some custom buttons with a trade size selection menu for Buy/Sell mkt actions, together with the flatten/cancel buttons and a position / P&L  summary. On the chart section itself on the left, you have 4 small charts for each instrument, where you can also see the entry fill prices (or resting working orders) for each instrument, together with an instrument selection button for each chart/DOM. Finally, you also have a flattenALL button at the top (to exit all positions at once)

IF you have 2 of these charts next to each other, you can manage 8 DOM on a single monitor.

Please be aware that a full revamp of the charting DOM is foreseen in 2026, the goal being basically to

  • combine in a single tool the current ChartingDOM and Orderflowmetrics features
  • add additional DOM features (MBO/large order in the orderbook, easier management of OCO orders, auto adj. of OCO order size in case of scale in / scale out orders, etc)

Best regards,

Eddy
