We do indeed support the CQG continuum datafeed for trading real money accounts hosted by a wide variety of brokerage firms (including Tradovate). If you are in this case, you should follow the instruction here
and you should contact your broker, confirm with him that you will be using Investor/RT from Linnsoft as third party sofware to connect to our Tradovate account.
Tradovate is also in the business of providing simulated trading environment to prop firms. For such paper accounts, so far, each prop firm is restricting the platform that can be used to a short list that typically includes the native Tradovate platform and NinjaTrader (which acquired Tradovate back in 2022).
Recently, a subscriber, who wanted to use Investor/RT to trade his Tradovate evaluation account with Apex, contacted them: they confirmed again that he could not connect his Apex account data to any 3rd party CQG compatible software (such as I/RT) that was not listed on their website. This is why we always recommend selecting Rithmic plans whenever a prop firm offers evaluations on both Rithmic and Tradovate environments. Indeed, Investor/RT can typically be used for trading Rithmic accounts.
