There are actually multiple ways to do multiple periodicities.

Let's use the specific example above of overlaying a 5-minute stochastics on a 1-minute chart. Let's further assume that we are specifically after the "Fast %D" component of that 5-minute stochastics.

Using Mixed Periodicity Data Indicator (MPD)
Once solution (and probably the most popular solution now days) would be to use the Mixed Periodicity (MPD) indicator. You can access additional information on MPD at:

The easiest way to do this is with a Custom Indicator. Let's take the specific example where we want to put a Moving Average of the Fisher Transform indicator in the same pane as the Fisher Transform. First, create a new Custom Indicator by choosing Setup: Custom Indicator. Then, type in the following syntax: MA(FISH) and click the Save button in the lower right corner of the window.

There are two ways to remove technical indicators from a chart window. The easiest way is to just select the indicator, by clicking on it or tabbing to it, and then hitting the "delete" key on your keyboard. Alternatively, you can click on the green trashcan icon on the charting toolbar, select the element you would like to delete from the list that presents itself, and then click "OK".

Default preferences for technical indicator in the past were limited to one set of default settings per indicator. "Setup: Preferences: Charts: Multi-pane Charts: Technical Indicators" was (and still is) the place to specify your default settings for each of the indicators you utilize. Now, the default preferences can be setup from any technical indicator preference window. Often it is desirable to have several sets of preferences per indicator, especially with some of the more complex indicators where there may be many useful combinations of settings that are used often.

There are two indicators that will accomplish this: Session Statistics (SESST) and Mixed Periodicity Data (MPD). Session Statistics, a more reliable and efficient method, will be discussed first. One thing to keep in mind when deciding between the two methods is that MPD uses the daily bars while SESST uses the actual intraday data.

You can do this currently with an "Info Box"...having it show only One Pane's indicator values...and pointing it to the pane number that contains the WPR indicator. However, you can't currently hide the line that shows the date/time. This might be an option we could add to Info Box for the next release, giving you the ability to easily show only one indicators values as large as you want in a one line text box.

Copy/Paste Functionality

To move or copy an indicator or button from one chart to another, use standard copy/paste commands. Right click the indicator or button and choose copy. Then go to another chart window, right-click in a destination pane and choose "Paste". Macintosh users will use Command-C and Command-V for copy/paste shortcuts, and Control-Click for right-clicking with a single-button mouse.

Yes. Right-click on a button, and choose either Cut or Copy from the popup menu. Both Cut and Copy will copy the button setup to the clipboard. Cut has the additional affect of removing the button from the pane in which it presently resides. Then go to another chart window or to another pane in the same chart window, right-click in the pane and choose "Paste".

Painting Bars and Backgrounds

Annotations containing the text token % BARLEFT show you the time left in the current bar. This annotation is updated each time a trade occurs for the instrument associated  with the annotation indicator.
