DTN MA/CQG MA

DTN Market Access (DTN MA) is a historical market data service that can be used in conjunction with broker supplied real-time market data. This DTN service provides long term (10 years+) one-minute historical data for equities, indexes, futures. The most recent 180 calendar days of tick-data may also be downloaded on demand after regular trading hours. During regular trading hours, the most recent 10 days of tick data can be downloaded on demand. With DTN MA on the subscription, Investor/RT performs automatic backfill of all intra-day charts at startup. Auto backfill fetches all of the tick data for the period since you last used Investor/RT. Long term historical data for futures contracts is available via a continuous front month contract symbol for each future type, e.g. @ES# for the ES futures. This long term pricing data is premium adjusted so that pricing flows smoothly through front month transitions. This optional DTN service is priced at $15/mo. ($10/mo. for Professional Trader subscribers).

DTN MA may be used standalone to provide on-demand historical data for market analysis without any source of real-time streaming data. More commonly it is used to supplement broker supplied real-time data with a robust historical service with much longer term historical data than is available from the broker market data connection. CQG Market Access is a subscription option required to access realtime and historical market data via CQG Continuum. Like DTN MA, this service is priced at $15/mo. ($10/mo. for Professional Trader subscribers); the subscription fees cover direct costs associated with providing access to CQG market data and order routing services.

CQG provides both tick and one-minute historical data backfill. It is adequant for day to day charting and on demand historical data requests for the last 3 or 4 months of intra-day one-minute data. If your needs include longer term (years) intra-day analysis and longer term tick data for the most recent 3 or 4 months of trading, the DTN MA service can be added as an option.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Have there been any issues using CQG Data? I've successfully added CQG Market Access to my subscription, yet I'm still not able to download several days of data, and even for the current CLEV8 contract, the data freezes. While the heartbeat is fine on the taskbar blue, there is a message that says working offline.

Please open a support ticket and we will assist further. Include in the support ticket any relevant messages you see in the message log when you attempt to connect to CQG or request historical data. Press Alt+M to alternately show/hide the message log. Often times, error messages in the log provide an immediate answer or can be useful in helping us diagnose when you open a support ticket.
