Sharing FlexLevels using Microsoft OneDrive

Microsoft OneDrive is a file hosting service and synchronization service operated by Microsoft. See Wikipedia for more.

The Investor/RT FlexLevels RTX Extension enables users to create and share support/resistance and other key prices levels with other Investor/RT users. FlexLevel supports this sharing using comma separated values (csv) files. A shared csv file can reside on a remote server or it can be shared by some other means, e.g. email, and placed on the recipients local file system for access by FlexLevels. The sharing user first creates a chart with the instrument(s) and the desired reference lines at the desired price levels.  File > Functions > Export FlexLevels, is then used to create the .csv file. This command prompts for the location in which to save the file allowing the .csv file to be saved on the user's OneDrive. The default file name created is FlexLevelsExport.csv. The name can be revised when saving.

To share the .csv file with another Investor/RT user, open OneDrive in File Explorer, right-click on the exported .csv file and choose Share. A dialog box appears in which you can send an email to another user with the link, or copy the link and share it with other by some other means. Typically a OneDrive link looks something like this:

https://1drv.ms/u/s!AnkRBx_46GhCgew6hpiUOuKhvgFh4w?e=zKi5Dh

The recipient of a OneDrive link can click this link to preview the file in their web browser. Alternatively, OneDrive links can be pasted directly into the settings of the FlexLevels indicator as a Remote File location.

Investor/RT detects OneDrive links but is unable to access the .csv file directly. Instead, Investor/RT RT 14 and higher opens the OneDrive preview in the user's web browser. To bring the levels into the Investor/RT chart, it is necessary to use the web preview page to save a copy (download) the file locally. For example you can place the file into the InvestorRT/rtx/lsFlexLevels folder. Then edit the FlexLevels preferences in the chart, select the Local File option and enter the path to the .csv file. When you click OK, the levels shared in this .csv file will appear in the chart.
