Is there a way to add symbols to a quotepage without the quotepage being open?

Investor/RT has long had the ability to add instruments to quotepages w/o having to open the quotepage to perform the addition. This is a somewhat hidden feature of the Quick Quote window. With a particular instrument selected in a quick quote window, you can use the QP icon button to:

  1. List the quotepages that contain the instrument
  2. Remove the instrument from one or more quotepages
  3. Add the instrument to one or more user defined quotepages

(1) is the default action. A simple click on the QP button displays a list of user defined quotepages containing the selected instrument. Pick a quotepage and click OK (or double-click a qp name) to open that quotepage. This is a quick way to see what quotepages a ticker is in and open one (or more) of them using the OK or Apply buttons.

(2) removal, is accomplished by Ctrl-Clicking the QP icon (use option-click on mac). A list of quotepages containing the instrument in question will appear (the same list as in (1)), but the selection list title will read "Remove XYZ From...". Pick a QP name and click OK to remove the instrument from that QP. Use Apply button to remove the instrument from one or more quotepages in turn.

(3) addition, is accomplished by shift-clicking the QP icon. A list of all user defined quotepages will appear. Pick any QP name and use Apply or OK buttons to add the instrument to one or more quote pages.

The QP button in the Quick Quote window allows quotepage maintenance to be performed without having to actually open the quotepages that are the target of additions or removals.
